Joan Moore, tenor, has retired to Alabama. She and Wayne have two sons and five grandchildren.
Carol Caloro, lead, began her barbershopping experience by joining Capitaland Chorus in 1988, where she served as Lead Section Leader, member of the Music Committee and a front row dancer. She has been quarteting since 1990. She was an associate computer programmer/analyst with the New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services for thirty years before retiring in 2002. She has three sons, one daughter, and four grandchildren and in January of 2007 she and her best friend, John, were married on the island of Lana’i.
Quay Houchen, bass, has been a member of Capitaland Chorus for 6 years and has been a quartet bass for 5 of those years (first with Back in Business and currently with Heart and Soul.) Originally from NYC, Quay has been singing and performing in front of audiences throughout her life. She sits on the chorus Board of Directors, is the Publicity Chair, and dances in the front row. She is a Certification Specialist for the Office of Teaching, NYS Education Department, and has been employed by the department for twenty years.
Marty Willey, baritone, rediscovered singing in 1999 when she joined Capitaland Chorus. She’s competed with the chorus and in quartet and can be seen strutting her stuff as part of the chorus front row. Strange as it might seem, she loves singing baritone – to her, it’s the melody – go figure. She works half time for Metlife as a Computer Systems Programmer and, in January 2006, started her own small business ‘Marty Willey Jewelry Designs’. She and John have two sons.
